Simon Cousins Manager Simon isn't the usual pub landlord. Simon is a Golf Professional who has been playing full time tour golf and has now decided to try his hand at something new. He started his golfing career as a local PGA Golf Professional teaching at local golf clubs such as Lavender Park in Ascot and Stoke Park Club in Stoke Poges but for the last two years he has concentrated on his playing career full time by competing on the PGA Europro Tour. He has now decided to expand his efforts and ambitions into the restaurant and Pub industry by taking on The Winkfield.
"I strive to be the best at what I do and with lots of hard work and determination I have managed to be able to compete in my sport at a high level. I hope by implementing the same work ethic and determination to providing high quality food and drink and a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The Winkfield will become a fantastic place for all to enjoy time and time again."

Ray Brenner Head Chef Ray brings to the team a wealth of knowledge that he has gained over the last 10 years working in some of the best restaurants in London. A local lad, Ray started his career working at the Hilton Hotel in Bracknell. He quickly realised his potential and focused on developing and honing his culinary skills by moving to London so that he could work in some of the best restaurants. He spent a number of years working at the restaurant "Hush" where he quickly rose to second head chef. A move to "Gilbeys" in Eton brought the lad back home so that he could spend more time with his family. Asked to comment on his philosophy to food, Ray says "I believe that good food should be made from the best quality produce, locally sourced, and simply presented to a consistently high standard."
